Some extensive renovations has taken place this year, turning First Beach into more of an attract than ever. The Borneo Beach Carnival thus takes advantage of this found attraction and, over 4 days in a carnival atmosphere, brings the people of Kota Kinabalu together for an extended party.

Shangri-La’s Tanjung Aru Resort New Year’s Eve Beach Party
Meanwhile, a little bit further down the beach the party is distinctly more upmarket with this 5-star Beach Party.
Shangri-La’s Tanjung Aru Resort & Spa, one of Kota Kinabalu’s premier resorts, will be hosting a beach party. Their festivities include a 5-star buffet spread and free-flow beer, wine and fruit juice to fuel your partying.
Local celeb and DJ prodigy, DJ Fine China, will be providing the soundtrack for your 2012/2013 New Year’s Eve Party production.
Party Play’s New Year’s Eve Countdown Party
Meanwhile, in the city centre Party Play Gaya Street plans to claim their section of Gaya Street and take Kota Kinabalu’s New Year’s Eve party to the street.
