It’s shameful that wild orangutans are being brought to this place and paraded as entertainment. Conservation efforts in Sabah would be best directed at preserving the natural environment of this critically species than creating zoos.

It’s just 1Borneo isn’t THAT far (you can see it in the distance from near Likas) and the difference between getting a cab to Likas and to 1Borneo wouldn’t be that much.

i was thinking more along the lines of a short cab hop to Likas, then catch the bus the rest of the way. Maybe it will depend on if I can find others heading in the same direction - I’m not worried; just love the adventure of a place new to me Cheers again - and kudos on posting up the new schedule.

Hey Glen, if you’re arriving at Jessleton Point, walking back to Warisan Square may almost take as long as walking to Likas Square (about 3km?).

I think from Jessleton Point it would be easier to just take a cab straight to 1Borneo - it should cost in region of RM20 - RM25.

If you REALLY want to take the bus then when you exit Jessleton Point turn left towards 1Borneo and about 1km down the road, there’s a bus stop.

Sooner or later a bus (not necessarily the 1Borneo Shuttle) will come along that will take you to 1Borneo.

Eow - didn’t know you would check in yourself - thanks VERY much for posting this up - really, really helpful. I know Tune is currently in the process of putting in a new hotel by the LCCT, as well. If anyone hasn’t heard of Tune Hotel, let me just say it is a chain building upon the AirAsia concept - take a few minutes, google it, & check it out.

Would you have any idea, after arriving at the ferry terminal, whether it is better to walk over to the Warisan Square pickup point, or just grab a cab (or city bus???) & head to Likas Square? For this trip, I have more time than money, but if it works out about the same, I’d rather not backtrack -

hmmm - on my timetable (I am going this weekend), it also shows Likas Square on the timetable:

- but I don’t see it mentioned or on the poster-image here??? Anyone know if Likas Square is a pickup/drop-off option? otherwise, from the Ferry Terminal, it is looking like Warisan Square.
