In Celebration of Kota Kinabalu’s 8th anniversary, the City Day Regatta is held over two days and various races to determine the winner in several categories of boat races.

Based around the city’s tourist attractions, Kota Kinabalu’s 8th year a city is celebrated with a series of events to draw attention to what the city has to offer. Join a treasure hunt that introduces you to the treasures of Kota Kinabalu.

Chap Goh Mei, also known as the Chinese Valentines Day, takes place on the 15th day after Chinese New Year and is an event of note on the calendar of festivals.

In conjunction with Kota Kinabalu’s 8th anniversary as a city and continuing the celebrations, the annual city run is expected to attract some 10,000 eager participants. Attractive prizes and lucky draws is the highlight of the event.
