The 2008 Borneo Safari takes place deep in the heart of the jungles of Borneo when those who love adventure and challenge takes on the most beautiful and treacherous jungle terrain in the world. The four wheel drive vehicles tackle the Sabah jungle, modified for the tracks and powered up against the challenges of Borneo, organised by the Kinabalu Four Wheel Drive Club.

Last year (2007) I made contact with Borneo Safari organisers prior to the event’s start and wrote a feature story about the event for a number of Australian newspapers (I am a motoring and motorsport journalist).
I would like to talk to the organisers about this year’s Safari with a view to attending and covering it as an observer so that I can write more stories about what sounds like an absolutely fantastic adventure.
I have tried to make contact with Kinabalu Four Wheel Drive Club president James Wong and PR manager Fred Leong but have had no responses from them so perhaps I have incorrect email addresses.
Can anyone give me email or postal addresses for James and Fred (or indeed anyone from the club management committee)? Telephone numbers would also be handy.
I see from this page that the start and finish dates are October 26 through to November 2 and so I have to make contact with the event organisers soon so I can arrange to take leave from my job to visit Sabah for the Safari.

It is appreciated that Jan 2008 is a long time ago but this message is an update. I have been asked by KFWDClub to coordinate overseas competitors and media for the 2010 Borneo Safari. At the moment I am awaiting any sponsorship incentives that will come from Sabah Tourism. KFWDClub do not have the finance to sponsor people, If you are still interested contact me at the given email and I will send you the first Press Release.
