Borneo Bug Fest! No, not those kind of bugs 🙂 This is a gathering of Borneo’s VW Bugs, or Beatles as they are more commonly known.

The Bug Fest is where Borneo’s Volkswagen enthusiasts gather to admire, appreciate and, yes, celebrate one of the most iconic automobile creations ever.

Interest in the most iconic Bug of all has been around in Sabah since the 60s. But, says the history of the Kinabalu Volkswagen Club Sabah, back then only the well-healed and most senior of citizens where in possession of one.

Nowadays, Volkswagen enthusiasm knows no age. The Kinabalu Volkwagen Club Sabah was formed in April 1999, and the activities today are guided by Jerome Autoservis, specialist in Volkswagen repair.
