The Sabah Hospitality Fiesta is a showcase of the skills across various disciplines prevalent in the Sabah hospitality industry.
The event includes diciplines like Mystery Box cooking, Table Laying, Flair Bar-tending, Fruit & Ice Carving and Cake Construction & Decoration.
Although, to the layman, these events might not sound terribly exciting, attending the event will open your eyes to talent and skills required to achieve the works of art that is produced at the Sabah Hospitality Fiesta. Be amazed by how simple fruit are turned into colourful, detailed sculptures, the calculated rush around the time-limited Hot Box cooking events, or the drama that surrounds the ice carving, where participants race against both time and melting ice.
The annual Sabah Hospitably Fiesta, the 20th in 2017, was first conceived in 1997 by what was then known as the Asian Tourism Institute. It has grown year on year with more hotels taking part each year. A showcase of current talent in the local hospitality industry, the Sabah Hospitality Fiesta provides a stage where hoteliers and staff can compare notes in a friendly atmosphere, learning from each other and raising the bar ever higher.
