Is it Cheaper to Exchange Money at the Airport or Hotels?
In Kota Kinabalu you definetaly get the least competitive rates at the airport and in hotel lobbies. You’ll get the most RM for your currency at the non-bank forex counters in Centre Point & Wisma Merdeka and maybe Suria Sabah. Do shop around.
Is there a Shuttle Bus to 1 Borneo?
No, at the moment there is not.
But you can take a public bus (blue bottomed for RM1.50, or multi-coloured City Bus for RM1) from the bus stopping point at the back of the city near Bandaraya / Traffic Circle / KFC.
How much does a Taxi cost in Kota Kinabalu?
Good question, no easy answer except never less than RM10 (for a very short distance) and then anywhere from RM15 – RM50 depending on how much like a gullable tourist you look. Insist on using the meter, it won’t work, but just so they know you know they should, and then bargain down the price.
What will the weather be like in Kota Kinabalu / Sabah / Borneo

When is the rainy season in Kota Kinabalu?
Statistically the rainy or wet season runs from October to March. But it’s complicated, because it could rain just as well in the ‘dry’ season. So far in 2015 the dry season started halfway through January and we’ve had very little rain since (updated 2 March). Check out the weather page for more info.
