Description
The Ranau Recreation & Golf Club’s course was build in 1992 by Japanese officers who served at the Mamut Copper Mine in Ranau.
The club is located 1km from Ranau town on the Ranau Tambunan road.
It’s a 9-hole golf course has beautiful views of the nearby Mount Kinabalu, which provides the backdrop to rolling fairways and greens that are difficult to read.
It provides a decent challenge to golfers, many of whom say that the Ranau Recreation & Golf Club’s course is the best 9-hole course in Sabah.
The 9 holes together provides 5,737m of yardage for me and 5,053 for women and has a Par 72 course rating, with a slope rating of 128 (men) or 118 (women).
