Sandakan Golf & Country Club offers a plush golf course at its central location in Sandakan on Sabah’s east coast.
Not far from the 9-holes of the Pamol Sabah Golf Club, the Sandakan Golf & Country club offers 18 holes and a par 72 course.
Establish in 1958 with a mere 6 holes, the Sandakan Golf & Country Club was previous known as just The Sandakan Club.
It was relocated to the current site in 1982, which at the time only had 9 holes. The additional 9 were added in 1988, making it a fully fledged 18 hole golf course.
Today the Sandakan Golf & Country Club offers a challenging course in a tropical setting, paying homage to the Sandakans moniker as the ‘Nature City’.
A range of services complements the golf operations, including a Pro Shop, restaurant, cafe, gym, swimming pools, a variety of ball sports and games.

Last year I took part in the Sandakan Amateur Open under the Senior Category. It was also my first trip to Sandakan. I did not play well but it was a great experience for me to have played in this majestic golf course. The lay out of the golf course was fantastic and scenic. I will be coming back this year to play in the 37th Sandakan Amateur Open in August. I have in fact told to my friends about SGCC how good and beautiful the course is and they are earger to come with me this August.
