Description
Ang’s Hotel Restaurant is actually Fatt Kee Coffee Shop, but because it’s positioned underneath Ang’s Hotel, the signage makes it look like Ang’s Hotel Restaurant.
But never mind the name, what’s important is the food.
So popular is the food at Fatt Kee Coffee Shop, that during peak meal times you will have to queue (and then jostle) for a table.
The restaurant does have an English menu (if you ask for it), but somehow tourist never order the good stuff.
If you have nothing else, you must have the oyster sauce chicken wings, pork knuckle, fish head curry, Sabah veggie and a tofu-and-minced-pork dish.
If you go alone or as a pair the meal may seem a little more expensive. That’s because dishes come in set sizes and prices, so it’s more economical to go as a group of 4 or more. Order several dishes for the table and share-share.
And don’t miss out on the chicken wings.
SabahBah –
Still a favourite go-to place for they oyster-sauce chicken wings, Sabah veggie and pork dishes.
