Earth Hour was first observed in Sydney in 2007 when 2.2 million people participated, including 2,100 business. On March 31, between 8pm and 9pm the lights went out all over Sydney.

If the effect of that first Earth Hour could be sustained for a year, it would be equivalent to taking 48,000 plus cars of the road for a year. This year, Earth Hour is global.

The Loft in KK is the venue for an Earth Hour event hosted by Becky and Helle. The event is open to all who wants to make a statement about the state of our planet and the impact that climate change has on all of us.

In support of our environment, to show they care and to mark Eart Hour, for an hour this Saturday, March 29 between 8pm and 9pm, there will be no electricity at The Loft in the Waterfront, Kota Kinabalu.

What there will be plenty off is spirit. The ladies are also planning a quiz with prizes, so make sure you know the facts about your environment and global warming. For entertainment, there will be live acoustic music.

The event is open to all, so do join Earth Hour at The Loft, Waterfront, KK.
