    • Ice Bar was, when it launched, one of the hottest tickets in town.

    The concept showed potential. At first Ice Bar at 1Borneo focussed on the Ice Room, a chamber of bone-chilling temperature of -25°C, where you could go to enjoy a icy shot of vodka.

    But when the clientele started to drop off the expense of running such a cold fridge became too expensive, and last time SabahBah checked, the Ice Room was not a feature anymore.

    The rest of Ice Bar is a comfortable, air-conditioned temperature, and the cool, blue tones of the lighting naturally appeals.

    But Ice Bar is a 10km drive from the city centre, about 15 minute drive at night. For the residents of Kota Kinabalu that is a far drive, and when the marketing for Ice Bar died down, so did a lot of the interest.

    Today Ice Bar is hardly mentioned anymore, but it still persists as a nightlife option for if you find yourself at 1Borneo Lifestyle Hyper Mall.
