5 Star Hainanese Chicken Rice & BBQ Pork Restaurant has a branch each in Centrepoint, Gaya Street, City Mall and Suria Sabah, all in Kota Kinabalu.
For BBQ Pork in char sui or sui yuk style, 5 Star Hainanese Chicken Rice & BBQ Pork Restaurant is a good choice.
The service (especially in Centre Point) is fast and efficient, the restaurant is functionally decorated and clean, and the staff is reasonably attentive.
Other items on the menu include favourites such as claypot mee, Japanese tofu pork, soups, vegetables and a fat menu of other eats.
Regrettably this restaurant also has sharkfin on the menu (28 Oct 2015).
Local –
Very disappointed on the food. Not worth for the price. Char siew taste too sweet, siew yuk too salty. They cook it in wrong way which cause both lost the meat juice, very hard to chew.
The drinks are ok.
The charges are slightly higher.

You can’t beat this place for service, especially if you’re a regular. Not as affordable as it used to be.
