Tavern Kitchen & Bar is one of the newer restaurant and nightlife offering at Imago Shopping Mall’s Aramait Street Walk, the gourmet food precinct of the shopping complex.
Tavern specialises in local and western cuisine, and offers a local twist to timeless classics, bringing home unique Sabahan flavours arguably Kota Kinabalu’s trendiest malls. Compiled by Malaysian celebrity chef, Nicholas Pillai, the menu is a showcase of tantalising dishes.
Complementing the cuisine is Tavern’s comprehensive cocktail menu, over which you can pour in the tastefully decorated interior, designed by Ben Firdaus, the host and interior designer of well-known TV show, Casa Impian.
Tavern Kitchen & Bar pride’s itself in serving delicious, fresh food, made from local Sabah produce, in a welcoming ambience. A refreshingly inexpensive experience from a new nightlife and restaurant venue in Kota Kinabalu.

Well impressed with Tavern. The service is fast and efficient, the waiters friendly and responsive, and the food is delicious and portions big. Prices are very reasonable, lower than what you’d expect at Imago for this type of restaurant. This place is very popular at the moment, so make a booking if you want a table at a particular time.

The food is good, my salmon Teriyaki taste like heaven. Portion are big expecially the tuhau fried rice.
Desserts are the real winners. The sizzling brownies is amongst the best I’ve tasted so far. The slice house cakes portion are hugh and taste good.
Owhh the singer with the live band performance on the stage, she’s an entertainer.
