Yuit Cheong Coffee Shop is likely Kota Kinabalu’s oldest restaurant, best known for kau coffee, roti kahwin and an extensive menu of drinks, all steeped in over a century’s worth of history dating back to when they were a little shop on Gaya island, back in 1896.

Through the generations Yuit Cheong Coffee Shop have adapted and reinvented itself as it grew with the city first named Jesselton and later, as we know it today, Kota Kinabalu. Along the way they also experienced the city’s growing pains.

    Great to start the day off with a kau kau kopi o and a warm char sau pow. Friendly staff and characterful interior.
