KK Plaza

Jln Tun Fuad Stephen, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia

Description

KK Plaza shopping centre is a relatively small complex in the centre of Kota Kinabalu, opposite what is now the fish & central markets and behind the city’s main post office.

It has a Servey supermarket / department store in the basement, which is the anchor tenant and by far the biggest shop in the centre, but that’s about all KK Plaza has going for it.

The rest of KK Plaza’s 3 floors are packed with cheap clothing outlets (or just metal baskets full of it), a high number of mobile phone sales and airtime reload shops, probably the highest concentration of Muslim bridal boutiques of any mall in KK, and the usual clutter of shops selling generic beauty products and accessories that you’ll find many times over anywhere else in Kota Kinabalu.

A food-court is tucked away on the 3rd floor if you’re feeling hungry and adventurous.

What is KK Plaza good for from a tourist perspective?

Parking for all the other nearby attractions or a visit to the post office, I guess, or if you ran out of credit at exactly this spot, you’ll be spoiled for choice of where to reload.
