PADI Open Water Scuba Diver


Description

PADI Open Water Scuba Diver course is the most recognised scuba diver certification in the world.

It enables scuba diving independently to a depth of 18m with a certified buddy with an equivalent certification or higher.

Pre-requisites for enrolling in the PADI Open Water Scuba Diver course includes being physically fit, the ability to complete a 200m swim test, a 10 minute surface survival float, and a minimum age of 15 years (or 10 years for the Junior Open Water certification).

The PADI Open Water Scuba Diver course takes place over 3 days.

Day 1 takes place in the classroom. Meet at 9am for knowledge reviews, theory and quizzes that will prepare you for practical skills in the coming days. Day 1 lasts until around 4pm.

Day 2 takes place in the TAR Park. Meet at 8:30am, depart for the islands conduct Confined Water Dives 1 to 3, plus your first Open Water Dive. After lunch you finish off th day with Open Water Dive 2, before returning to shore to be back in the city by 4pm.

Day 3 is in the TAR Park again. Departing at the same time as yesterday, you once again head for the TAR Park to complete Confined Water Dives 4 & 5, plus your 3rd Open Water Dive. After lunch you sit for your final exam and bring it all together in a spectacular display of your knowledge in skill during Open Water Dive 4. We return to shore for your certication in the dive shop as a bone fide PADI Open Water Scuba Diver!
