The Borneo Eco Film Festival celebrates Borneo’s bio-cultural diversity through this annual event that showcases environmental films and nurtures the local film-making community.
The inaugural event was held in Sandakan in 2011 and enjoyed a successful run.
Returning to Kota Kinabalu, the Borneo Eco Film Festival has a Community Conservation in Action theme and last year featured at the recently completed JKKN Complex near the state archive building.
The event aims once again to attract local and international participants who will take part in screenings of ecologically focussed films, workshops and musical entertainment.
The foundation of the Borneo Eco Film Festival is built on sharing and educational experiences, hopefully enabling it to continue to be free to the public in 2013.
