Description
The Music and Surf Festival at the Tip of Borneo takes place on 25 & 26 November 2017.
Held at the Kalampunian Beach, Tanjung Simpang Mengayau, it is free to watch watch, while sunbathing, swimming, surfing and more. There’s even free surfing lessons if you feel like getting involved.
The surfing competition itself offers a RM8,000 cash prizes, with trophies and goodie bag. But for that, you’ll pay. Entry fees are low though, only RM50 for Malaysians and RM80 for international competitors in both the men and women categories, while Grommets (young ‘uns) are free. The 2-day event aims to promote the beautiful beaches of Kudat as a tourism destination for outdoor activities and surf culture.
