Kota Kinabalu City Celebrates turning 18 in 2018.
The city usually celebrates with a parade where Kota Kinabalu’s people get together to celebrate Kota Kinabalu’s achieving city status in 2000.
There’s usually much to do around the city during the City Day Celebrations as people come from far and wide to mark this joyous occasion on Kota Kinabalu City’s Calendar.
In previous years the Kota Kinabalu municipality invited dance and performance groups from all over the world to participate in these celebrations – we’ll find out closer to the time what’s in store for us this year.
It’s marked by enthusiasm and energy as the people of the city come together to mark the establishment of one of East Malaysia’s biggest city.
