Chilli Vanilla is an Hungarian inspired restaurant run by owner Szilvie, the Hungarian proprietor.
As you might expect, Hungarian goulash, a meaty broth that brings a taste of Eastern Europe to Kota Kinabalu, does feature on the menu and as far as the taste exploration goes, that is only the start.
It’s best not to judge Chilli Vanilla on its size, because its big on taste.
The restaurant is small, tucked away in a shoplot along Jalan Haji Saman, just off KK’s main road, Jalan Tun Razak an opposite Wisma Merdeka.
Hearty meals with a choice of wines and deserts makes Chilli Vanilla popular with a loyal, regular crowd that enjoyes the food as much as random passers-by.
