More about Ultimate Frisbee
Sabah Ultimate Frisbee has been part of Borneo’s activity landscape ever since Ultimate guru, Ken Kassem, hosted the first demo in Kota Kinabalu in September 2007, and lead the growth of the game in KK over the following years.
Today Sabah Ultimate Frisbee is played regularly in Kota Kinabalu and, as the game grows slowly but surely, more and more at schools and universities elsewhere in this east Malaysian state.
The skill and experience levels vary greatly, with most players having limited access to quality coaching or tournaments with exposure to international levels of play.
The Borneo Headhunters Hat is Sabah’s only international Ultimate Frisbee tournament, usually taking place in the 1st quarter of the year. Since its inception in 2010 it has grown to be a notable event on South East Asia’s Ultimate calendar.
